BETTER TONE IN BUSINESS. Received 3£ay 13, 10.8 a.m. Melbourne, May 13. The railway mileage run yesterday was 2700 miles, compared with 1400 on the previous day. In response to the call for volunteers the Railway Department has already received about "1000 otters from~all classes of the community.
