NEW REPAIRING STEAMERS

The various Agents-General inspected tße Eastern Extension Cable Company's new cable repairing steamers at Gravesend, which are equipped with the wireless- telegraphy "repairer" and "restorer" invented by Sir Oliver Lodge and Dr. Muirhead. The steamers will be stationed at Adelaide and at Singapore after they have laid the Dutch -cable connecting Borneo and Celebes.
