Attempted Suicide.
A MISGUIDED YOUTH. Per Press Aisteociation. Auckland, .March 2: Thomas J. Townson, of Dunedin, a youth,' was charge with attempting to commit suicide. He, returned from a picnic in a drunken condition and attempted to cut his throat with ' a pocket knife. 4 His solicitor said the acoused had been drinking to excess and had lost his situation. The wound was -not serious and the Bench bound accused over in his own recognisance of £25.
On Thursday afternoon, Mr Newton King will sell by auction 33 choice building allotments at Vogeltown. The sale w>ll be held on tho ground at 2.30 o'clock.
