Damaged carcases having been put on the market have hurt the prices. Ntj alteration hi lamb ; dull sale for all lamb.' Better demand for beef ; N.Z. hinds 4d, fores 2*d.
Butter steady ; Australian 112s No alteration in cheese.
Hemp quiet, the high prices restricting business. Light stock on hand. There is a disposition to sell distant hemp. N.Z. " good fair Wellington " spot, £33 ; FebruaryApril shipment, £31 ; stock- 169 tons, against 1367 tons last year.
