Sydney, September 18.
During the voyage of the Anglian, from Auckland, a stowaway, name unknown, jumped overboard. A boat in charge of the chief officer was lowered, and searched for an hour without success.
Mr Lock, superintendent of the Lucknow mines, declined to entertain the miners' proposal to refer the dispute to arbitration, the Premier havißg agreed to act if both sides were agreeable. Mr Lock's letter is bo phrased that the Minnrs' Executive decided to hold no further communication with him.
