[telegraphed by a correspondent.] Wellington, July 2.— The following are the New Plymouth awards at the Poultry Show :— Amburv — Indian Game 2nd and 3rd and Pullet 3rd ; Class 113, Ist and 2nd; Class 115, Ist and 2nd; Class 124, 2nd. Goodacre— Class 56, Ist; Class 57, 2 nd ; Class 58, 2nd ; Class 59, Ist ; Class 131, 3rd ; Class 157, Ist ; Class 229, Ist : Class 230, lat and 2nd ; Class 231, 15t and special and 2nd ; Class 232, 2nd. Bird— Class 233, 2nd ; Class 235, Ist ; Class 236, Ist and 2nd ; Class 256, Ist and special ; Class 257, 15t. KnightClass 164, 3rd ; Class 165, Ist and 2nd. The Ballance Challenge Trophy, valued at 20 guineas, for most points in Ling shans, wa3 won by F. Rogen, of Wellington.

A lecture is to be given this evening at 7.30, by Canon Haselden in St. Mary's Schoolhouso on, " The Bible; How it has come to us." The lecture will be illustrated by 52 lantern pictures, showing the first forms of writing and writing materials ; M.S.S. of parts of the Bible ; versions and translations ; and places and people connected with the bringing of the Bible into its present form. At the conclusion of the lecture 24 beautifully painted scenes from Lord Tennyson's 1' Enoch Arden," will be shown.

At the quarterly meeting of Court Pride of New Plymouth, A.0.F., Female Lodge, held on Monday, June 29, the following officers were elected and duly installed by D.C.R. Bro F. Newell and D.T. Bro A- King : -C.R., Sis E. Russell; S.C.R., Sis Annie Tunbridge ; Treasurer, Sis A. King (rc-eleclud) ; Secretary, Sis A, M. Furlong (re-eleeten) ; S.W. Sis K. Kivell ; S.W. Sis R. Wray ; 5.8., Sis 0 RoberLs ;J. 8., Sis G. Elder. After tho installation ceremony a hearty vote of thanks was returned to the District Officers for attending. The Lodge has now threo Court surgeons, viz , Drs Christie, O'G'aiTolJ, and McClollaud. The total number of members on the roll is 49, and the Court funds total over £60.
