The Court resumed at 2 o'clock.
Sergt. Duffin gave evidence that accused mado a voluntary statement to him that he took tho money and spent it in beer. This was the case for the Ciown. Accused, in answer to the usual formula, stated that ho did not wish to give cvi dencc. He also added that he had no witnobses (0 call, except his brother, who was away at Huirangi. Ho also added that he did not wish to addro>a tbe jury. Hia Honor summed up, pointing out the saliont points of the case. The jury tlien rotired, and after a short absence returned with a verdict of guilty of burglary.
Hia Honor sentenced prisoner to a term of 2 years 1 imprisonment with hard labor. The Grand Jury at this stago returned true bills against R. O. Hondy on four charges. \Left sitting.]
