THE STRATFORD ROUTE.
The Minister was greatly pleased with 1 tlio nature of the country traversed. At the latter end of tho journey provisions ran short. Mr Jackson Paluiortook seriously ill one day. Tho Minister was a good doal fatigued with the tramping. Two pack horses became unnseable through being Btun°' by a poisonous nettle found on the route. a Several members of tho party at first entertained tho idea of returning the same way, but after their experience they have entirely abandoned suuha notion, and much prefer to return by steamer to Auckland. Mr Hurathouso, it might bi stated, is looking in excellent health.
