Definition of a Back. — A back is a horse tbat has never won an advertised race (back and hunter race excepted), and that is not, at the time of start, and has not been, during the bis calendar months previous to the time of start, nominated for any race — hack and hunttr races excepted. All Nomination?, Entrieb, and Acceptances, accompanied by the necessary amounts, must be addressed to the secretary, and left at the White Hart Hotel, New Plymouth, not later than 9 p.m. on the advertised dates of closing. Full particulars of colors, age, pedigree, and performances must be forwarded with the nominations. No entry or nomination will be received for any of the races except upon this condition — "That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the] racing shall bo decided by a majority of the stewards present, or thoeewhom they may appoint.'
