We have since ascertained that this is a long promised visit to Mr Samuel, whose guest he will be during his stay in this district. Mr Samuel wrote to Mr Smith, M.H.R., to-day (Friday) notifying him of the Minister's visit, and adding that he would i be happy to introduce the Minister to Mr Smith on Saturday at any time convenient to the latter. He also stated that he intende I to suggest to the Minister that he •hduld visit the northern part of this district, at any rate as far as the Mimi, and trusted that as member for the district Mr Smith might be able to see his way to accompany the Minister and himself.
