RACE BETWEEN STANBURY AND

SxnNßy., November 17. — The Race between Stanburv and McLean for £200 a-side was rowed this afternoon. The former though not in good health started favorite. McLean, who was in pink of condition, obtained a good start, but at Uhr's point his opponent led by three lengths. Crossing to Northern shore, the water was very bumpy, and Stanbnry began to lose ground. McLean gradually drew level, and for some time were pulling stroke for stroke. McLean passed the mile Beacon half a length ahead. By this time Stanbury was showing signs of distress, and McLean quickly increased his lead till off Gad Works, he waa 20 lengths in front. Stanbury then gave tip. The winner's time was 23mins 43£ sees.
