Melbourne, September 15.
In reply to the communication from the Governor of Victoria, asking whether a vessel is available for despatch to the New Hebrides for the protection of British interests at those Islands, Admiral Tryon has stated that two men-o'-war are already at the New Hebrides, and that he believes the state of affairs there has been exaggerated.
