PARNELL'S IRISH LAND BILL
London, September 18.
In the House of Commons to-day, a bill to amend the present land legislation in Ireland was introduced by Mr. Parnell, and read a first time. The measure provides that Land Courts should be empowered to reduce rents during a period of two years, and that evictions should be stayed when the tenant has deposited with the Court half the amount owing to the landlord.
