NEW ZEALAND TELEGRAMS.
[PEE PRESS ASSOCIATION.] A J.P. MISSNG. Wellington, July 12. Mr. A. L. Levy, J.P., secretary of the Wellington branch of the Temperance Alliance, has been missing since Thursday, and nothing has been heard of him since. On Wednesday last, Mr. Levy and the members of the Cook Licensing Bench each received a letter threatening that their lives would be taken if they persisted in their determination to close three hotels in the district. No reason is know for Mr. Levy's absence, which is causing anxiety to friends. The matter has been placed in the hands of tho police.
