NOMINATION OF MEMBERS.

Tnunuitfu. — Nomination candidates on Friday — Mr, G. B. Morris (Opposition), Mr. Allan McDonald (Grcyilc), Mr. J. W. Johnston (Independent). The show of hands was in favour o£ Mr. Morris, for whom three cheers . were given. All the candidates are confident of being elected. I'jllirg takes place on Friday next. Waitaki (2).— -Messrs.; Shrimski, Hjslop, and Steward were nominated for two scats in tho Jlou.sc for Waitaki on Saturday. The show of hands was in favour, of Hislop and Shrimski. The proceedings wore very brief. Port Chalmers (1). — Mr. Macandrcw and Mr. Green were nominated to-day. Auckland. — Mr. F. A. Whitnkcr is out for Waip«. The Napier Herald states that a gentleman intimately connected with temperance organisations iv Hawko's Bay, received a letter from Sir W. Fox, in which lie says he has given up all hopes of being returned at this election.1 East Coast. — The nomination for tho Bast Coast took. place, when the following, candidates were proposed : — Captain Morris, Mr. Allen McDonald, and Dr. woodbine Johnston. Mr. Murray- Ay nsley and Mr. Allford were nominated for Lyttolton to-day. Tiniaru. — Mr. W. N. Goody and Dr. Dean are in the field for Gladstone. Both are Liberal candidates. Dunedin. — The nominations for Wakaia arc ai follow* : — Captajn McKenzic, Messrs. Ireland, Bennett, and Johnston. For Ilpselyn — Messrs. Hogg, Driver, and Parr.
