The Kev. A. ii. Xorris, M.A., the [new vicar of the Teniuka J'arish, ar-
ri\e.d froin Christcliurch by thu slcond express train yesterday, lie was Diet ami welcomed by the churchwardens, Messrs 'l'weiitynian and Kvuns. His Lordship Bishop Julius arrived in Temuka frooi Christcliurch yesterday evening by motor ear. In the evening- he inducted the Kev. A. 11. Norris into the cure of the Teniuka I-arish. During his stay in Teniuxa he is the guest of Mr and Mrs E. James. He returns to Christcliurch this morning. Mr C. Hassell, now sheep fanning in .Southland, was in Teniuka on, Thursday afternoon. Commissioner Hay, head of thu .Salvation Army in Australia, will arrive in New Zealand in January next. Mr J. W. Joynt, clerk and overseer to the Teniuka Koad Board, was so far recovered from his indisposition as to be aGle to attend the office for a few hours yesterday. Mr T. Daily, who recently met with
a very serious accident by falling out of his trap in Temuka, when a wheel passed over his head, was able to leave Nurse Thomson's private hospital for Ms home on Monday last. Consider!iicr the seriousness of the accident, he has made a very good recovery. Mr 11. Macaulay returned to Temuka yesterday from Christehurch, where he has been attending a meeting of the Land Hoard.
The Key. T. Coatsworth returned lo Temuka yesterday from the. Primitive Methodist District Synod at Ashburton.
