Calcutta, Advices from Burmah announce the complete submission of the | Burmese King to the British forces. General Prendergast, in command of the expedition, reports that when about thirty miles below Maudalay he was met by an envoy from King Theebaw, who asked for an armistice. General Prendergast Jemanded the complete surrender of the Burmese army and the town : of Mandaiay, whereupon the envoy promised to accede to the General's demands, and tender submission to the British. . i .
