GOOD INQUIRY AT RAETIHI SALE.
Tlie New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited report a yarding of about 600 sheep and 150 head of mixed cattle at the Raetihi sale on Thursday. A total clearance was effected, there being a good inquiry for cattle, with outside buyers purchasing the bulk of the sheep. Quotations are: Wether hoggets, 20s to 225; smaller, 17s 6d to 19s 6d; ewe hoggets, 25s 6d to 28s 6d; 2-year steers mixed colours, £4 18s to £5 6s; old steers, £5 15s to £6 8s; fat heifers, to £8; empty cows, £2 15s to £3 7s 6d; small yearling steers mixed colours, 35s to £2 10s.
