NATIONAL INSURANCE DIVIDEND.
Wellington, Last Night. - The directors of the Natonal Insurance Company have recommended a final dividend of 5d a share, payable on November 18. FEILDING STOCK SALE SHEEP AND CATTLE BOTH FIRM. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., reports that at the Feilding sale on Friday prices lor sheep and cattle remained at firm rates. Big bullocks showed a further appreciation in values, while other cattle were firm at late rates. Ewe hoggets reached top levels of the year, and one line of 83 made 34s 2d. They were big well grown sheep. Wether hoggets sold at late rates. Fat hoggets sold at late rates, but fat ewes did not reach last week’s high levels. Dairy cattle were slightly easier, Taranki competition being missed. Some of the prices realised were: Fat sheep: Hogget, 11 at 235, 17 at 22s 7d, 32 at 23s Id; wethers, 5 at 18s, 13 at 23s 9d, 29 at 21s lid, 37 at 225; fat ewes, 36 at 19s 3d, 49 at 19s Id, 17 at 20s 4d, 7 at 26s 4d, 12 at 18s; store sheep, wether hoggets, 15 at. 23s lOd, 128 at 225„ 57 at 22s 4d, 17 at 21s Id, 243 at 23s 3d; ewes, 8s and Ils 3d; ewe hoggets, 50 at 29s 9d, 82 at 34s 2d, 21 at 25s 4d, 40 at 26s 2d, 90 at 27s Hd, 29 at 33s 6d. Dairy cattle, springing heifers, £2 10s, £3 10s, £3 12s 6d, £3 15s, £4 10s to £5 10s; springing cows, £2 17s 6d, £3 10s, £3 17s 6d to £4 10s; cows in milk, £3 12s 6d, £4 to £4 10s. Store cows, 255, 30s, 355, £2 to £3 2s 6d. Yearling Jersey heifers, £2, £2 ss, £2 7s 6d to’ £3. Fat cattle, dairy cows, £5, £5 7s 6d to £5 17s 6d; dairy heifers, £5, P.A. cows, £6 ss; P.A. heifers, £6 10s; fat bullocks, £7 to £lO Bs. Station cattle, S.H. bullocks, £6 10s to £7 17s; P.A. bullocks, £5 4s to £7; P.A. cows, £7 10s; yearling P.A. steers, £4, £4 2s 6d to £4 10s; yearling heifers, £4 13s.
