Matthews, is of the opinion that his horse would benefit by-beach work. Gay Poto is a five-year-old by Gay Shield from Huipoto, thus being a half-brother to Illuminate with whom O'Neill has a great run of successes last season. Gay Poto is the first of his sire’s stock to be in training at New Plymouth.
