IS THERE MALNUTRITION? INVESTIGATION ADVOCATED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 4. An inquiry into the extent and incidence of malnutrition and undernourishment among New Zealand school children was advocated by Mr. D. G. Sullivan (Labour, Avon) in the House of Representatives last night. Mr. Sullivan said that the Minister of Health, the Hon, Sir Alexander Young, had stated recently that there was no more malnutrition among children at the present time than formerly. Dr. Gunson. Auckland, and other ■ medica 1 men and social workers were, however, in conflict with that opinion, and some leading doctors had suggested that the only way to determine the matter was by the holding of a public inquiry.
