RULER OF ALBERTA
MR. ABERHART PREMIER NEW GOVERNMENT SWORN “THEME SONG” OF PARTY HYMN “0 GOD OUR HELP” By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. , Edmonton, Sept. 3. Mr. W. Aberhart was sworn in as Premier. The Social Credit Government is taking over with the Treasury empty, and Mr. Aberhart is appealing to Mr. R. B. Bennett, Canadian Prime Minister, for a £2,400,000 loan to meet bond issues falling due in November. He secured an assurance that the Dominion Government will treat Alberta “fairly." The evangelist Premier has designated as the theme song of Social Credit, “O God Our Help.” With provincial savings bank certificates no longer redeemable, the market for Alberta bonds has vanished.
