PIANO CHAMPIONSHIP
ASHBURTON COMPETITIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Ashburton, Sept. 3. Hie principal event at the Ashburton competitions, the piano championship for the Tucker trophy, was won by Miss Jean McLeod (Christchurch) with 254 points. Miss Audrey Ruddock (Ashburton) 251, was runner-up, a position she filled last year. Bach’s Chromatic Fantasie and Fugue is next year's test.
