NEW ZEALAND WINS
LAST HOCKEY MATCH AT SUVA. MAGNIFICENT STICK WORK. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Suva, Sept. 2. The third and final hockey match between New Zealand Universities and Suva was played to-day, New Zealand winning by three goals to one. New Zealand again played superior hockey, its stick work being magnificent and the combination the best displayed on the tour. New Zealand dominated the early stages of play. Huston, Ford and Lawry combined in a movement that resulted in Ford scoring. Play was even until half-time. Only magnificent work by the goalie, Hcrcus, saved New Zealand on several occasions. Suva was twice very unlucky. Soon after the interval New Zealand’s strong attack culminated in Lawry scoring. Then Suva reached the circle and Moore scored. Half-way through the spell Struthers shot the final goal. The New Zealand team visited the old native' capital, Bau, on Friday and was ceremoniously received by the natives. The team attended a farewell ball this evening and will sail by the Monterey to-morrow.
