African bowlers, Langton (five for 38) and Vincent (four for 32), played havoc with an English Eleven, which, they dismissed for 96. ’Die tourists quickly mastered the English bowling and when stumps were drawn had lost two for 214. Mitchell scored 90 and Viljoen 70 not out. Members of the English Eleven who are to represent the M.C.C. on a tour of New. Zealand are Holmes, Mitchell-Innes, Baxter, Read and D.
