INTER-PROVINCIAL EVENTS. WELLINGTON TEAM’S WIN. By Telegraph—Pi-ess Assn.—Copyright. The Chateau, Sept. 3. The annual winter sports conducted at Tongariro National Park by the Ruapehu Ski Club concluded yesterday, when the interprovincial relay race was held in perfect weather and snow conditions at Scoria Flat. The race resulted in a win for Wellington (A. Thom, D. McPherson, A. Staverley, Miss Z. O. Lloyd) from Hawkes Bay and Auckland. The Tararua Tramping Club’s sports were also concluded yesterday, the championship shield winner being A. McArthur, who won the men’s downhill and novice races. Miss E. Smith won the women’s slalom and downhill races.
