LEAGUE FLOURISHES
IMPRESSIONS OF MR. MILLER. INTERCHANGE OF TEAM TOURS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. Sydney, July 12. Interviewed on his arrival from New Zealand to-day Mr. H. R. Miller, secretary of the New South Wales League, declared that Rugby League was flourishing in New Zealand. He accordingly will recommend to the Australian Board of Control a regular interchange of visits by representative Australian and New Zealand teams. Mr; Miller will suggest that an Australian team visit New Zealand this year, to play the first match at Christchurch, and afterwards matches at Wellington, Whangarei and Taupiri. Another proposal Mr. Miller will advocate will be the creation of an Aus-tralian-New Zealand board of control of League activities between the two countries. Mr, Miller emphasised the great strides League football was making in the Dominion, particularly at Auckland, where the standard of play was becoming very high.
The itinerary Mr. Miller suggests for the Australian team is: V. South Island, at Christchurch; v. North Island, at Wellington; v. New Zealand, at Auckland; v. Auckland province, at Auckland; v. Auckland, at Auckland; v. Northland, at Whangarei; v. New Zealand, at Auckland; v. South Auckland, at Taupiri.
