ORDERS FOR FISH
MAORI DISPUTES LIABILITY. Liability for the payment of fish allegedly ordered from Fred Binns, a Normanby fishmonger, was denied by a Maori woman, Ropgomaipaia, or Mrs. Fred Luke, Fraser Road, when a civil action for the recovery of £1 10s was brought by Binns in the Hawera Magistrate’s Court yesterday. At the end of the hearing, Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., gave judgment for Rongomaipaia. Mr. L. A. Taylor appeared for Binns and Mr. B. Malone for Rongomaipaia.
