SOCIAL FOR HALL FUNDS. A euchre party and dance was held in aid of the Hurleyville hall funds on Tuesday. ' Prices were won by Mrs. Dunbar, after a play-off with Mr. Rodley, eleven tables were engaged in play. Supper was served. Mrs. Douglas played music for the dance. Mr. and Mrs. Scown and Mr. .Nelson Scown spent a few days this week at New Plymouth. . Mrs. Jones and Mr. Eric Jones were visitors to Douglas and Ngaere last week-end. ■ Mr. and Mrs. Norman Hunt, who have been farming at Hurleyville for the past five year£, will leave at the end of the month for the Waikato, where Mr. Hunt has bought a farm. , Misses Clara and Josie Burkhart are spending a holiday with their parents on Hurley Road.
