WIN FOR WAIMATE HARD GAME WITH INGLEWOOD. MANY OPPORTUNITIES MISSED. Playing at Inglewood Waimate defeated the home team by 14 points (four tries, one converted) to 9 (three unconverted tries). The game throughout was hard fought and the result was in doubt practically till the call of time. It looked as though Inglewood would equalise when the forwards broke away in a great rush, but with a clear field Devereux was beaten by the bounce a yard from the line and time was called immediately afterwards.
