ERN JACOBS BEATS KID FISHER. NEWCOMER’S FIRST APPEARANCE. By Telegraph—Press' Association. Masterton, June 1. Em Jacobs, Wellington, scored a pointe decision over Kid Fisher, England, in a ten rounds professional boxing match before a packed house last night. It was a good, ’even bout, both lads giving a sound display. Consistent leading and cleaner hitting gained the decision for Jacobs.- Fisher, who is making his first appearance in New Zealand, showed himself to be a game, -clever boxer.
