YOUNG MAN ON SERIOUS CHARGE.
COURT REJECTS SUGGESTION.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, April 15. Colin Raymond Wills, aged 23, was sentenced to eight months’ reformative detention for carnally knowing a girl under 16 years of age. Mr. Justice Kennedy, in sentencing him, referred to the statement last week that a document was drawn up purporting to stifle the prosecution provided £l5O was paid to the girl’s father. His Honour said he did not accept the suggestion that the prisoner was the victim of a trap.
