MR. CARTER’S EXCAVATIONS.
BAN ON HIM AS INDIVIDUAL.

The Egyptian Government has refused to allow Mr. Howard Carter to continue excavations of the. ancient necropolis at Luxor, says the News-Chronicle, though the work would be done by the same man under the same conditions if he were employed by a scientific society, which is not subject to these restrictions, instead of operating as a private individual.
