Lady Camcross has returned from Wellington. Mrs. Hart was hostess at tea on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. R. S. Allen is visiting Wellington. Mrs. A. A. Stewart was hostess at bridge on Wednesday. Mrs. Hardwicke-Smith has returned from Wellington. Mrs. G. A. Turner and Miss Wilson were hostesses at bridge on Thursday evening in honour of Miss Joan Welch and Miss D. Taplin. There were three tables of young friends of the guests of the evening. Miss M. Duffill, who has been the guest of Mrs. W. Wilson, has returned to Hawera. Miss W. Weir has returned from Hawke’s Bay. Miss V. Powell, who has been the guest of Miss Tipler, has returned to Palmerston North. Mrs. A. Craig is spending a holiday at Waipukurau. Mrs. Langston was hostess at bridge on Friday.
Mrs. C. Stanners has returned from a visit to New Plymouth.
