Miss Wilson has returned to Auckland after spending some days with her sister, Mrs. J. Gibbs. Mrs. Maetzig is visiting Wellington. Mrs. Gow, New Plymouth, is the guest of Mrs. I. P. Grant. Mrs. Sutton is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. Evetts, Hawke’s Bay. Mrs. Thomson is spending a week’s holiday at New Plymouth. Mrs. Torrens visited Hawera last weekend. Mrs. S. Hornsell, Tariki, has returned from the Tauranga and Hamilton district and is visiting Dannevirke. Mrs. Dean entertained a number of New Plymouth friends at the week-end. Mrs. A. Marshall entertained on Friday evening. Mrs. Faris was a morning tea hostess yesterday. ' Mrs. Hill, Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. Nodder. Mrs. Sage will be a'Hawera visitor to Inglewood at the Mrs C. R. O’Carrol will return to her home on Sunday after spending several weeks in a private hospital at New Plymouth. Miss Patterson is the guest of Mrs. Frank Cameron. On Thursday evening the drama circle met at Mrs. Leech’s residence, when several plays were read. Among those present were Mesdames Adnams, Hobbs, Porter, Dansie, Leech and Misses Trimble, Comey and Leech. Inglewood Golf Club members held a bridge and five hundred party on Thursday to farewell Mrs. Gow, who for many years was one of the club’s most valued and popular members. At the close of the evening Mrs. Gow was presented with a chromium-plated travelling clock. Among those present were Mesdames Gow, Winter, Faris, Weame, Grant, Newlands, Cameron, Torrens, Basham, Judd, M. Sutherland, Misses M Morton, M. J. Morton, J. Morton, M’. McLean, N. Wilson, E.
