NIGHT FLYING IN AUSTRALIA.
PROVISION OF ILLUMINATION.

Mr. R. A. Parkhill said that the additional night landing facilities were completed to permit the night flying that was necessary on the main route from Darwin to Cootamundra to ensure adherence to the present air mail time-table during the winter months. Night landing facilities have been provided at Darwin, Cloncurry, Longreach, Cootamundra, and four revolving beacons have been installed along the route between Cloncurry and Longreach.
