NOTTS CRICKET CLUB
TRIUMPH FOR OLD COMMITTEE. CARR ONE OF THE OPPOSITION. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 5 p.m. London, April 9. Voting for the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club committee was carried out by letter and resulted in a triumph for the old committee. Neither Mr. Adams nor Mr. Woolley, chairman and vice-chairman of the “opposition group,” was elected, and only two of their 14 nominations were elected, namely, Mr. A. W. Carr (former captain) and Sir Harold Bowden. Those elected include Messrs. McGraith and Huntsman.
Only one member of the old committee was not elected. The result endorses the committee’s condemnation of the direct attack in bowling.
