MATIERE BEATS MARCO ELEVEN.
Scoring the 11 runs required in the second innings without losing a wicket, Matiere beat Marco at Kohuratahi on Sunday in what was probably the last match of the season. Marco batted first and was all out for - 20, W. Ritchie taking four wickets for three runs. A. Sampson two for noneand C. Stack two for three. Matiere replied with 66 runs, the team’s smallest total for the season, H. Stoddart (23) and G. Rutherford (11). In the second strike Marco scored 56, R. Hill and B. Stockwell each making 15.
