WAITARA
Mrs. W. Ashdown, Auckland, has been visiting Waitara as the guest of Mrs. C. D. Tate.
Mrs. W. B. Cumhig and family will leave to-day for their new home at Greytown. At a euchre party in aid of funds for the football club’s candidate, Miss Catherine Frost, in the queen carnival, the winners of the prizes were Mesdames L. Andrews, R. Pennington, J. Jones (hidden number) and B. Jury (consolation).
RAWHITIROA. Miss Ida Bleakley was a visitor to the Waitomo Caves during the weekend. Miss Kurta was the guest of Miss E. Belcher last week-end. MANAIA. Miss N. Payne, Manaia. is the guest of Miss Peggy Crosbie, Rowan Road.
