Miss Jessie Messenger left on Wednesday to spend her holidays at Rotorua. ■ Mrs. Tait, Waitara, who has been the guest of her daughter, Mrs. McAllister, will return to her home during the week-end. Mrs. Birch Johnston was the guest of Mrs. Stainton, New Plymouth, during theweek. Mrs. James, Tariki, returned from Auckland during the week-end. Mrs. S. Judd entertained at bridge on Friday night. Mrs. Loveridge has returned to Tariki. Mrs. Miles, who has been visiting Wellington, will return to her home on Saturday. Mrs. Alfred Marshall, Mountain Road, entertained on Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. W. Kay, Durham Road, president and Mrs. W. Smith, secretary of the Women’s Institute, attended a meeting held by the members of the Warea branch on Tuesday. Mrs. Lawrence has returned to Tariki after spending a few days at Eltham. On Monday evening the lady members of the Inglewood Golf Club held their annual meeting. The following officers were elected: Mrs. I. E. Faris, captain; Mrs. M. Winter; secretary, Mrs. I. P. Grant, Miss Morton and Miss E. McAllum, committee. \ Mrs. J. Wilson is visiting friends at Nelson and Wellington.
Mrs. Winfield entertained on Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Potroz entertained a few young friends at her home on Saturday evening.
