FLATS FOR WORKERS
PRINCE SEES VIENNA HOUSING. SKI RACING AT SEMMERING. British Official Wireless. Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, Feb. 20. The Prince of Wales before leaving Vienna this evening by the ordinary express train for Budapest made a tour of inspection of workers’ flats. The Prince is keenly interested in the housing problem, and he welcomed the opportunity of visiting the flats, which have a world-wide reputation. On his return from Budapest the Prince will witness ski racing at Simmering. He is expected to return to Vienna on Sunday evening, and he may make the journey to London by air on Monday. The Prince’s visit to the famous flats, which were bombarded last year, aroused intense interest among the tenants. The Prince has already met Dr. Kurt Schuschnigg, the Chancellor, and Prince Ernst von Starhemberg, the ViceChancellor. He was delighted with the middle classes, dancing in a simple cafe and . now he is pleased with the Viennese workers.' He arrived at their dwellings bareheaded -and carrying a camera. He took a number of snapshots and inspected several- homes. "That’s a reasonable man, even if he i.i Prince.” : said a Socialist. Another said: “It is a pity he did not come a year ago.”; , .■
