A return 'match at Hurworth against Hurford Road ended in another win for Hurworth. Hurford Road batted first, scoring 36. V. Dravitski took five wickets for 11 runs, including the hat trick. Wharehuia, which was not at full strength, made 55, Gibbs 30. Haseltine, who took four wickets for 24, and G. Bingham, who took four for 9, were the most successful bowlers. Pukengahu replied with 108, D. Baker 31, J. Rowe 16 and R. Haseltine 10. A. Manning, who took six wickets for 30 runs, was Wharehuia’s best bowler. In a second strike Wharehuia had made 48 for 3, Schultz 14, at the call of time.
