Mrs. Edwards,, who has been Mrs. B. Waterland’s guest, has returned to anganui. Miss G. Hall has returned to Kakaramea from a holiday at Eltham. Mrs G. Nightingale is spending a holiday in the Hawkes Bay district. Mrs R. Wilson, Bristol Road, Inglewood, returned home on Saturday after a fortnight at the beach as the guest Mrs. J. Haworth. Mrs. Jacomb is visiting her daughter, Mrs. A. Edser. FAREWELLS AT KAKARAMEA. Miss Ann Huston will leave Kakaramea on Friday for Matamata, where she will spend a few days before• paving for Auckland to commence training as a Karitane nurse. Qn Sunday afternoon at Kakaramea at the close of Sunday school Miss Thelma Ward presented Miss Huston with a scarlet posy and Miss Betty Thompson presented her with a piece of xylonite, both gifts being from the pupils ano teachers of the Kakaramea Sunday school. Mr. K. Carmichael, superintendent, spoke of Miss Huston’s work in the school during the last nine years, and wished her good-bye and success in her new undertaking. Miss Rona Meharry and Mr. W. Watt, teachers, wished Miss Huston every happiness. Miss Huston replied. . During the church service at Kakaramea the Rev. W. H. Walton on behalf of his parishioners thanked Miss Huston for the assistance she had always unselfishly rendered the Church c£ England. She would be greatly missed and her place would be hard to fill, he said.
