CURRENT EVENTS
Racing fixtures carded for this week are the Egmont Racing Club’s autumn carnival at Hawera to-day and to-mor-row, and the Dunedin Jockey Club’s autumn meeting at Wingatui to-morrow and on Saturday. The highlight on the Egmont Racing Club’s programme will be tire Egmont Cup, while the attractions at Wingatui will be the Dunedin Cup on Thursday and the Hazlett Memorial classic on Saturday. Because of the probable clashing of Silver Ring and Nightly the latter race looks worth while travelling a long way to see. Next week will be quite an important one on the racing calendar, as the meetings carded include two day fixtures at Te Aroha, and at Woodville.
