RIGHT ON THE SPOT
In last week’s racing page, twelve form horses were nominated as likely to run prominently at the various racing fixtures at New Plymouth, Riccarton, Rotorua, and Poverty Bay. Of these twelve horses, Cuddle won the big race at Riccarton; Prince Colossus the Rotorua Cup; Hunting Jay the chief event at Poverty Bay; while Hororata, Rust, Illuminate, and Parquet were alto winners. Inveresk and Barn Dance returned place dividends. Thus, seven of the twelve horses nominated proved to be winners, while two ran second.
