EXTENSION IN AMERICA.
COMBATING THE BOOTLEGGER.

The continued unlimited importation of alcoholic beverages from January 1 to February 28 by holders of import permits was authorised by the Government to-day. . , The ruling is a further extension, of the Government’s policy of stimulating the importation of liquor for the dual purpose of combating the bootlegger and raising revenue.
