WAIRARAPA FARMERS’ DESIRE. NATIONAL BUTTER-FAT VALUE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Carterton, Last Night. A well-attended ward conference of dairy farmers was held at Carterton today. Mr. C. G. C. Denner, Feilding, presided in the absence of Mr. Dynes Fulton. Messrs. A. Linton, Lower Valley, ana Ben Roberts, Parkvale, were re-elected Representatives of Ward 6 to attend the Dominion conference at Wellington. The following resolutions were passed:— That the imposition of further legislation and regulation should be accompanied by a national price of' butter-fat which will cover the cost of production. That in setting up the Executive Commission, producers’ representatives should be nominees of the Dairy and Meat boards.
That full support be given any movement' that makes for the rationalisation and co-ordination of manufacturing units throughout the industry.
