The Takapuna Jockey Club’s spring meeting was concluded at the Ellerslie racecourse to-day in fine weather. lire track was very fast. Armacourt was first out from Dubarry, Gay Acre and Eudorace. Dubarry led from Gay Acre; Armacourt and Persian Lady at the turn and won comfortably. Velocipede came up from the mar to gain second place, beating Armacourt 10 yards from home. Persian Lady was fourth.

Absent led for most of the journey, while Capella Abbey and Copey were always handy. Absent led down the incline for home, but Ruby Meteor ran up from third to clinch the victory by two lengths from Copey, with Absent a similar distance away third. Luminary was fourth. The order was practically the same at the turn when Kelly took command and held op well to stave off a challenge by King Musk, winning with something in reserve.
