appointment of coaches. The executive of the New Plymouth Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club met last night. There were present Dr. G. H. Thomson (chairman), Messrs. C, H. Croker, F. S. Vamham, J. W. Hollows, C. H. Doughty, N. J. Webster, M. Char? teris, R. L. Harris and C. S. Woods (secretary). Mr. M. Comber was appointed referee for the club meetings. The appointment of a delegate to the general meeting of the centre at Wanganui on December 5 was held over pending a reply from Mr. P. J. Goudie, the club’s representative on the cycling executive. Tile following coaches were appointed for the season? Sprints, S. A. Black and' N. J. Webster; distance, A. A. Johnson; jumps and field events, G. Sullivan; hurdles, P. Patterson; cycling, M. Charteris and N. C. Batten. . The official training night was fixed for Thursday of each week.
The programme for Boxing Night was approved.
