GENERAL AND PERSONAL NEWS. The Rev. Mr. Burnett, who has taken up his residence at Patea, took both the morning and evening services at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Waverley, on Sunday. Mr. I. Bason’s brother, Mr. J. Bason, died very suddenly at Rapanui on Saturday. Miss Eva Parkinson, Waitotara, a prominent member of the Western Federated Aero Club, is spending a holiday at Melbourne, where she is doing a great deal of flying in different types of planes. Miss Nancy Palmer, who is a student at Dunedin; has returned home to Waverley for the summer vacation and is staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Palmer.
Miss Marjorie Patterson was a visitor to Rata for the week-end. Miss N. Mathieson, who has been spending a holiday at New Plymouth, as the guest of Dr. and Mrs. Taylor, returned to Waverley during the week.
